Nigeria - A brief Overview
Nigeria is located in west Africa between longitude 2-15 East of the meridian and latitude 4-14 North of the equator. The landmass is 923,768 square kilometer,  98.59 percent is land area while, 1.41 percent is water. It has a typical tropical climate at the coast, sub-tropics for the inlands and has 2 clearly defined seasons - the raining season ( April - October) and the dry season (November - March). The country is divided into three regions by the river Niger and it's tributary and the Benue. It is richly blessed with abundant natural resources which includes petroleum, natural gas, iron, tin, limestone, a lot of arable land and more. Nigeria has 36 states, one federal capital territory and is the most populous country in Africa.
